This past weekend, my sister and I walked in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It was a 2 day event covering over 39 miles. If any of you are thinking about doing this event, SIGN UP! It's amazing, inspiring, exhausting, challenging...and one of the best experiences I've ever had! (well besides the obvious ones - getting married, giving birth, etc)
We love our Grandma Johnson and wanted to honor her in a special way...can you think of anything better than walking 39 miles for her & raising ALOT of money towards breast cancer research???? I can't!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported my sister and I with monetary donations, words of encouragement and big hugs!!! We really are blessed with such amazing friends and family. And in case you were curious, I was able to raise over $2,600. Wow!!!!!!!!
Oh and as a side note, my sister is now in a walking boot with only 1.5 months to go before her wedding! Send some healthy prayers her way!!!!!! :(
