Conversation with a 3 1/2 year old...

goes something like this:

We pull into the parking lot of a shopping center that has Sports Authority, PetSmart and KMart. I am in need of new shoes - so our main priority is Sports Authority. Ellie needs more dog food, so our 2nd stop is PetSmart. And that was all I needed to do...BUT Mr. Jack lets me know as soon as we pull into our parking spot that:

Jack: "Mommy, I would like to sit on the rider toys" (the chinzy riding toys that cost a fortune outside KMart)

Mommy: "Jack, I'm not sure we will have time"

Jack: "Mommy, if you don't let me ride the rider toys - my feelings will be hurt"

Mommy: "Jack, I don't want to hurt your feelings but we need to get home for lunch"

Jack: "Mommy, I KNOW you don't want to hurt my feelings so I think you should let me ride the riders"

Mommy: "Okay Jack - whatever you want!" NOTE - Mommy folds AGAIN! :)

Hilarious!!! I've been so shocked at how they are so quick to figure out our pinch points. Madeline does the exact same thing to me (and I always cave, too!) Becky
